上款：「子聽」即方浚益，安徽定遠人，室名綴遺齋，活躍於同治光緒年間。咸豐十一年（1861）進士，曾掌金山縣政。好書擅畫，工刻印，與弟方浚頤皆好金石碑帖，同屬收藏大家，有吉金彝器專著傳世。

註：趙之謙於畫上題「檢閩中畫稾」，考其生平，一八六一年底應好友傅節子之邀，自温州航海入福建。抵榕城，居約半年，翌年六月離閩返浙。期間，賦詩作畫頗豐。本幅謂按居閩時所得之稿寫成，未署年款，按畫風似屬同治中期所出。
