註：一九七六年，大千決定返台定居，於外雙溪覓地築居，以作晚年落葉歸根之所。約兩年間，大興木土，栽花植林，移石闢池，雖無八德園之廣，卻自有造景之勝。主理建築者，即葉天賜。先生極重甚事，常臨場親視施工，因此與葉氏結為友。

本幅寫於七七年底，鑿石開池已竣工，蓄魚其中，先生得享「濠梁之樂」，遂以落花游魚入圖，以酬葉氏督工之勤。
