大癡〈層巒積翠圖〉，見烟客臨本，此擬其意。光緒庚寅十二月朔，秋農吳穀祥。
題識：
秋農摹存大癡真跡，稿本甚富，〈層巒積翠圖〉亦在其中，此幅署款雖云擬煙客，實則行筆設色，仍以大癡法出之，故於烟客尤易水乳，古人云，取法乎上，洵不虛也。光緒辛卯正月廿四日，石查贊漫識。
鈐印：
〈吳〉 「穀羊臨古」。
〈胡〉 「贊」、「石查書畫」。
藏印：「曾在朱屺瞻家」、「屺瞻歡喜」、「屑清珍藏」、「心齋珍賞」。

註：吳穀祥筆下山水，多近文、唐，取法者，實不拘一家，本幅出其盛年手筆，可見上追大癡，亦及烟客，用筆細秀，敷彩淺淡，多遍渲染，亟得清潤秀麗之色，攝兩家之長，參自家風格，正切合藝友胡義贊題曰「取法乎上」之意。胡氏（1831-1902）乃同期書畫名家，收藏既豐，眼界奇高，故其言非妄也！
民國初年，本幅曾歸寧波小港世家李屑清。他乃著名實業家，業務遍及金融、紡織、印刷等，因家族背景，與藝術界頗有過從，故亦嗜收藏，海上諸家作品皆其涉獵範圍。一九四五年李氏殁後，藏品散出，本幅遂轉入書畫家朱屺瞻「梅花草堂」。
民國初年，本幅曾歸寧波小港世家李屑清。他乃著名實業家，業務遍及金融、紡織、印刷等，因家族背景，與藝術界頗有過從，故亦嗜收藏，海上諸家作品皆其涉獵範圍。一九四五年李氏殁後，藏品散出，本幅遂轉入書畫家朱屺瞻「梅花草堂」。
