註：此聯屬八尺巨幅，乃沈尹默書作至今所見最鉅者。集黃山谷〈次韻文潛同遊王舍人園〉、〈辛酉憩刀坑品〉詩句，妙得佛家禪意。共得十言，字字逾尺半，具碑體底，運二王韻，龍蛇橫掃，筆勢縱橫，以體量之鉅，致面貌異於平日，腕下功力，淋漓畢現。難怪吳湖帆品評當代書壇，衹推四人，沈氏即踞一席！

沈尹默三十年代居滬，與吳湖帆常有過從，論書談詞，吳氏服膺其學識見地，曾填詞：「逥記美麗園中，展平原書帖，秋明詞稿，清秘契同參，聆珠璣多少」，賀其七十壽誕，亦即兩人往來寫照。葉恭綽一九三三年亦有五言巨聯書贈吳湖帆，與本聯尺幅相當，似為同期所出。
