註：錢大昕(1728-1804)，字曉徵，一字辛楣，號竹汀。江蘇嘉定(今上海嘉定)人。錢大昕早年以詩賦聞名江南，獻賦獲賜舉人，又精通經史、音韻、訓詁、金石。乾隆十九年(1754)進士，選翰林院庶吉士，散館授編修，歷升侍講學士、少詹事，提督廣東學政。曾在鐘山、婁東、紫陽等各書院講學多年。

張炳翔 (清)長洲 (今江蘇蘇州) 人。字叔鵬。藏書甚豐，嘗集清儒說文著述 《許學叢書》 百餘篋。

葉廷琯(1791-1868)，號調生，又號苕生，自號龍威遴隱。吳縣(今江蘇蘇州)人。工鐵筆，蒼勁可愛，嘗論歷代印學。著有《吹網錄》和《鷗陂漁話》。
