Condition
The meiping has a circa 33cm., long diagonal body crack running from the shoulder down the body, over-painting around the shoulder and to approximately three quarters of the neck.

本梅瓶以卷葉紋圍繞蓮花怒放，華麗繁縟，顯示十八世紀中國工藝吸收歐洲巴洛克美學風格。乾隆一朝，不僅為藝術及文化頂峰時期，同時透過耶穌會傳教士，與歐洲藝術交流頻繁，堪稱歷來之巔。乾隆帝對歐式繪畫工藝興趣甚濃，藝匠因而取西洋元素，揉合中國工藝器形，本品正屬一例。
本品珍罕，現時記載並無近例。比較一乾隆年款梅瓶，比例相近，飾花卉紋，售於香港蘇富比1975年11月17日，編號57，後易手於紐約佳士得2005年3月30日，編號362；北京故宮博物院收藏一例，尺寸較大，圖載於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集．青花釉裏紅（下）》，上海，2000年，圖版207；臺北故宮🍌博物院收藏另一例，曾展於《乾隆皇帝的文化大業》，台北，2001年，編號V-3；再比一例，🔴售於倫敦蘇富比1999年6月16日，編號801，後易手於倫敦佳士得2011年5月10日，編號276。
