Painted indexes remain vibrant with little fading. Split chronograph, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon functioning properly, but may require service. Minute repeater chiming in phase. 拍品資料及來源

Accompanied by an Audemars Piguet Certificate of Authenticity confirming the completion of the movement in 1912, with further sale on May 25, 1923.

Audemars Piguet confirms the completion of the movement in 1912, with further sale to Wittnauer, New York, in 1923 for 3,000 USD.

For similar examples, see Brunner, G., Pfeiffer-Belli, C. & Wehrli, M., Audemars Piguet, Masterpieces of Classical Watchmaking, 1993, p.31, 153-154.

It is interesting to note that the published examples, No. 14827 and 13927, are both retailed by𝐆 Gübelin and furthermore feature similar Greek key enamel motifs and stylized numerals. The former is in yellow gold and the latter is in white gold. To the best of our knowledge, the present example is the only one of its kind known in green gold.

The present lot represents the height🌸 of complicated horology combined with archetypal 🐓Art Deco design.
