Accompanied by SSEF report no. 77378, stating that the oval sapphire stated to weigh 26.24 carats, calculated to weigh approximately 26 carats, measuring approximately 18.40 x 15.65 x 10.15mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Please note that Sotheby's is not responsible for the accuracy of any estimated weights provided by gemmological certificates. Signed A. Reza, French maker's marks for Alexandre Reza, 21 Place Vendôme, 75001 Paris. French assay mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and OR for gold. Inscribed S 26.24 and BO 23.12, referring to the stated weight of the sapphire and to the stated total carat weight of the diamonds. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, with good transparency, small typical inclusions visible to the naked eye. Minor nicks the the crown and girdle and a bruise on crown. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 22.00 - 24.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS clarity, few SI, as gauged and graded in the mount. Little scratches to the metal consistent with wear. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 24 grams.
