《七》為林壽宇最著名的「白色系列」，藝術家在白色的畫布上，巧妙地運用濃淡、半透明與不透明的白色，將情感濃縮，極簡純粹的畫出空間、音樂、思維等哲學性的冥思，雖然使用西方媒材，但作品表現著中國哲學精神。藝術家自述：「把原始、野性、文學性都排除掉，完全以視覺方式來領悟大中華文化。」
