郎靜山畢生致力於「集錦」攝影，呈現中國山河之美，卻非泥古不化之士。其早年積極參與國際沙龍，五〇年代以後，更多次走訪國外，與西方名家觀摩交流，由此直接啟發他開始創作「影繪」。《女有所思》是郎氏著名的一幅影繪作品，與早年帶有古典主義美感的裸體攝影《假寐》相比，本作更顯現代藝術風格，裸女的形象全然簡化為線條、輪廓因變形而顯得諧趣。莊靈老師認為，裸女的乳頭應是不是手繪，而是縫紉時用到的圓形小珠子，可見藝術家信手拈來，皆為我用的破格思維。
