The carving is in overall good condition. There are expected minute bruises and nicks to the raised edges.

花果紋飾寓意吉祥，於十八世紀備受青睞，尤石榴因豐產、多子之喻甚為風靡。類此石榴巧作者可見一例，載於屈志仁，《Chinese Jades from the Collection of the Seattle Art Museum》，西雅圖，1989年，圖版78；另比一例，售於倫敦蘇富比2013年5月15日，編號58；又一例，原為 James H. Kelley 舊藏，售於紐約佳士得2009年9月15日，編號154；再比一例略大者，作石榴兩只，故宮博物院寶蓄，北京，錄《故宮博物院藏品大系．玉器編》，卷9：清，北京，2011年，圖版162；仍有一例，售於香港蘇富比2015年10月7日，編號3612。
