Although unsigned, this beautifully painted ewer can be compared to the works of Pierre Reymond and his workshop. The Louvre owns an ewer from his hand decorated with the Triumph of Diana (inv. no. MR2420) and a painted enamel lid with the same subject (inv. no. MR4960). The composition derives from an engraving of 1546 by Jacques Androuet du Cerceau. RELATED LITERATURE
