Condition
Overall in reasonable restored condition. Silk damask upholstery is in fair condition with the exception of a large tear to left arm revealing the foam stuffing and which is not evident in the catalogue image. Gilding to frame with evidence of re-gilding and generally with movement, chips and loses entirely consistent with age and use. Evidence of old worm which no longer appears to be active. Underside of frame re-enforced with two metal stretchers. Further, two wooden blocks have been added to back rail to accommodate additional uprights/legs, but which are now lacking. Corners re-blocked.
