the domed lid with a carved foliate and fruit finial and a baluster frieze, with four ovoid faux marble reserves joined by parcel-gilt swags, the shaped base with conforming gilt decoration on four scroll carved feet

Condition
In overall good restored condition with minor chips and losses to gilded surface notably to the foliated finial., The silk straps to secure the lid whilst open are broken and would need replacing. The latch to lock mechanism broken.
