拍品資料及來源
This bureau plat is modeled after examples by the celebrated sculptor and ébéniste Charles Cressent (1685-1768), namely after his bureaux plats à têtes de chinoises, made around 1720-25, six examples of which are recorded by Prádere (p.265), including one at the J.Paul Getty Museum, Malibu, California. These, as in the present lot, display the heads of Chinese as corner mounts and present similar dimensions, with the present lot differing with its veneering in parquetry to the frieze drawers.
