Condition
This work is in good condition overall. Each sheet is mounted to a backing board, both of which are hinged on the reverse to a larger backing board. There is pale time staining to the sheets. There are scattered signs of wear throughout both sheets such as creasing, minor tears along the perimeter, and losses to the paper, particularly in the lower right of the top work, as is typical of delicate works on paper of this age. There is evidence of oil residue and pigment separation to both sheets due to the artist’s choice of medium and working method. The bottom sheet exhibits scattered water accretions to the right side, possibly from the time of execution. Framed under Plexiglas.
