the shallow rounded sides supported on a tapered foot, covered overall in a pale bluish-white glaze, decorated in iron-red in the centre with an Arabic inscription contained within a medallion, enclosed by four further phrases, the exterior with a continuous inscription and further double-line borders, Da Ming Zhengde nian zhi transcribed phonetically into Arabic script, in iron-red within two double circles
Condition
This dish is in overall good condition, with minor rubbing to the enamels, slight staining to the interior and minor surface scratches, consistent with age. There are very few burst bubbles.

明正德帝對伊斯蘭教頗有見地，本盤揉合阿拉伯文及波斯文，甚為合理，近例甚罕。盤心文字，正中書「真主比無量供給其所意欲者」，圍繞一周書「頌讚汝，崇高尊大」。盤身文字則為兩則阿拉伯文、兩則波斯文，意為：「清高尊大之真主啟示真言」。 台北國立故宮博物院收藏一例，載於《故宮藏瓷：明彩瓷三》，香港，1966年，圖版7；上海博物館亦藏一例，《中國陶瓷全集》，卷13，明（下），上海，1999年，圖版146；另比一例，出自英國鐵路養老基金會，售於倫敦蘇富比1974年12月2日，編號289，後易手於香港蘇富比1989年5月16日，編號23，其後第三度現身拍賣場，售於紐約佳士得2002年3月21日，編號170。
