Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the exterior glaze presents with a softer palette of moss and Kelly greens, rust reds, ochre, and gunmetal applied with a dripping technique, which flows into the crevices of the folds. The interior presents with a stunning lapis blue, finished with bronze hues around the inner rim. There is very minor craquelure throughout the interior and exterior surfaces, visible on close inspection, as well as minor scattered particulate inclusions and air bubbles throughout, inherent to the production. The lower recess near one fold with a slightly larger inclusion measuring approximately 1/8 inch in diameter. The vase has been inspected under ultraviolet light and does not appear to have undergone any visible restoration. A highly understated tulip-like form with a distinctly unusual and captivating glaze technique.
