Condition
Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, certain tones of the exterior glaze stand out more distinctly than in the catalogue illustration: the greens are much richer and more varied, interspersed with mottled hues of mustard yellow throughout. The interior presents with flowing caramel and soft green hues. There is minor craquelure throughout the interior and exterior surfaces, as partially visible in the catalogue illustration. The underside of the base with three of minor losses to the glaze, exposing the bisque below, inherent in the production and due to the glaze sticking to the kiln shelf, none of which is visible when the vase is upright. There are minor scattered air bubbles and particulate inclusions throughout, inherent to the production. The vase has been inspected under ultraviolet light and does not appear to have undergone any visible restoration. A highly patterned work that displays a skilled and restrained symmetry.
