Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the exterior glaze presents with a range of pine, olive, and moss greens, with undertones of lavender and gray-blue mottling throughout. The yellow mark to the body of the pitcher in the catalogue illustration is not does appear on the work when viewed in person and is an error in the catalogue image. The interior in gunmetal, with variegated brown, green, and pink hues, the latter concentrated to the inside rim. There is minor craquelure throughout the interior and exterior surfaces, visible on close inspection, as well as minor scattered particulate inclusions and very minor air bubbles throughout, inherent to the production. The surfaces concentrated to the lower sections of the base with a few areas where the glaze did not fully catch, as partially visible in the catalogue illustration. The lower rim with an irregularity that occurred at the time of production, measuring approximately 1/8 x 1/4 inch, not visually distracting. The pitcher has been inspected under ultraviolet light and does not appear to have undergone any visible restoration. An elegant organic form with a finely executed handle and subtle detailing.
