Condition
Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the exterior glaze presents more intensely than in the catalogue illustration, with minor craquelure throughout and with an iridescent finish. The exterior exhibits a spectrum of tones, ranging from a mottled lemongrass green, deep kelp green, mottled russet brown spots and gunmetal drips throughout. The interior surface is also iridescent with bronze hues and textured gunmetal. There is minor craquelure throughout the interior and exterior surfaces, as well as minor scattered particulate inclusions throughout, inherent to the production. The underside of the lower fold near the base with a hairline scratch measuring approximately 3/4 inch long, only partially visible when the pitcher is upright. There is a very small hole located to the lower fold between the body and the handle inherent to the production and measuring approximately 1/16 x 1/8 inch, not visually distracting. The pitcher has been inspected under ultraviolet light and does not appear to have undergone any visible restoration. A wonderfully executed and uncommon design from the Mad Potter of Biloxi.
