Overall in very good condition. The bowl presents with minor surface scratches throughout, not visually distracting and consistent with age and gentle use. The surfaces with some instances of discoloration, likely from water staining, the largest measuring approximately 4 ½ x 5 ¾ inches on the lower exterior of the bowl. The exterior with a few minor isolated areas of bubbling to the varnish, the largest measuring approximately 3/8 x ¼ inches, located to the underside of the rim. The underside of the bowl with some rubbing to the edges and a few areas of adhesive residue, consistent with age and gentle use. The underside also with a concentrated area of deeper surface scratches measuring approximately 2 ¾ x 1 ¾ inches and with two drill holes by the edge, previously used to mount the piece on a wall. An elegant example of Moulthrop’s bowl designs in monumental scale.
