Condition

Overall in excellent, age appropriate condition. When viewed in person, the surfaces present with rich tonal variations ranging from a pale yellow gold with hints of apple green to a warm honey gold with hints of brick red. The tonal variations are present on both sides of the work allowing for viewing in the round. There is a highly textural surface which has a more detailed presentation than visible in the catalogue illustration. Some areas of oxidation throughout, typical of this material overtime and intended by the artist, which contributes to the richness and variety of the color palette. The bronze surfaces with minor rubbing consistent with age and gentle handling. The piece exhibits a nice three-dimensionality to the various planes. Highly representational of this series by Bertoia, the work is substantial in size and presents very well overall.
