The French inscription reads" "en l'honneur de la loi et à la chère mémoire de mon bien-aimé mari Joseph Cohen, 18 Octobre 1883, offert le 1er jour de Paque. 1884." Paillart Frères of 31 Rue Chapon, entered their mark in 1868, and were in business until 1888. The Hebrew inscription reads: "Gift of Mrs. Selina Manuel in memory of the soul of her beloved husband Mr. Joseph Cohen, of blessed memory."
