with a white and pink veined green marble top, the frieze with shredded shells and acanthus leaves, on two feet with chimeras united by a stretcher carved with a lion head; (the marble top restored)
Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good restored condition, the console has been regilt. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. The gilding is slightly rubbed revealing the red bowl underneath. As stated in the catalogue, the marble top is restored. Nice carving, especially to the unusual chimeras and lion's heads.
