Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. The gilding is very slightly rubbed and tarnished. There are the usual minor restorations to the veneer. The front edge of the left hand drawer has been restored (8cm long approx). Two gilt-bronze elements enhancing the curved lines are missing (approx. 10 cm) but could be easily recreated. The key is missing. A few minor and inactive woodworm traces underneath. The leather looks old but we do not guaranty it is contemporary to the desk. A few traces to the leather.Very nice and large model.
