The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. As stated in the catalogue, the gilding is later. The gilding is rubbed and tarnished, with chips revealing the red bowl and the white gesso underneath. There are old woodworm traces. The construction is firm. The velvet is in good overall condition with minute wears. Beautiful carving. Rare design.
