Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. The construction is firm. There are some chips and rubbed areas to the painting and to the gilding, revealing the white gesso, the red bowl and the wood underneath, especially to the edges and to the feet. One gilt rosette of one seat is missing. There are old woodworm traces. Only three gilt chairs are stamped. The silk is in very good overall condition. Some restorations to the painting and to the gilding. Very elegant suite in good condition.
