Condition
The canvas is lined. There are a few faint lines of stable craquelure, most notably to the upper left corner. The canvas overall is a bit dirty. There are a few very minor pindot losses within the central figure's clothing as well as some abrasion at the extreme top center of the canvas. Some minor accretion is also visible at the center right edge of the canvas. Under UV light: A masking layer of varnish is difficult to read through. A broad stroke of inpainting runs along the extreme top right edge of the canvas, likely to address frame abrasion. Possible inpainting is also present toward the lower left-most corner. Overall the work is in very good condition.
