The canvas is not lined, inspection under UV light reveals small scattered spots of gold paint or frame-gilding to the background, notably in the sky, and no evidence of retouching. There are artist's pinholes in upper right and left corners and the edges are supported by restorer's tape. Overall this work is in very good condition.
