The canvas appears original. There are very minor undulations to the canvas, most visible towards the corners. There are a number of fine raised vertical and diagonal lines to the canvas throughout the composition, thought to be in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is one small isolated area of fine cracks to the blue pigment in the lower half of the canvas, in the central triangular point, only visible upon very close inspection. There are some scattered spots of bloom in places, including to the teal pigment just below the fine lines of cracking. There are some instances of studio matter and light surface dust. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
