Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There are old woodworm traces. There are some chips and rubbed areas to the gilding, revealing the white gesso and the red bowl underneath, especially one chip to the lower part of the fluted stem (approx. 2,5 x 2 cm.). There are some chips to the white marble top. There is one crack to wood on the upper part, to the capital, with minor losses. The construction is firm. Nice carving, elegant porte-torchère.
