Window mounted. One or two tiny pinholes, centre left. Very minor abrasions towards lower left corner. Condition otherwise good and strong.

Bosboom was the son of Simon Bosboom, one of the architects who worked with Jacob van Campen on the Paleis op de Dam, Amsterdam.  The drawing was made as one of a series of biblical illustrations, from which other sheets, all similarly signed and dated, are in Weimar, London, and formerly in the Robert Witt Collection.1 1.  The Visitation, Weimar, Schlossmuseum, inv.
