Condition

The panel is uncradled, slightly bowed, and stable. The panel appears to be made up of two planks, the vertical join of which is visible running the height of the panel along the centre of the composition, with associated retouching. The paint surface is clean and varnish slightly discoloured. A repaired vertical split which runs the height of the panel is visible circa 10cm. from the right margin. There are three retouched, vertical splits starting along the left side of the upper edge, one which runs down to the centre of the composition, and the others which measure approx. 10cm. and 5cm. There are also repaired splits starting along the lower edge approx. 20cm. either side of the central join and measuring approx. 15cm and 10cm. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals these, as well as retouchings along all four edges, but there are very few in the main composition - scattered in the lowest left and most upper right circular scenes. In overall good condition.
