The canvas is lined, and the collector's red wax seal is on a cut out piece of canvas attached to the stretcher, presumably executed during the work's most recent restoration. The paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. There are some visible retouchings, for example in the sky in between the couple, in the column to the left of the man, and in the lower right corner. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals these, as well as some small spots in their clothes, in the sky, and some strengthening in the geometric shapes of the table cloth. In overall very good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
