The canvas is strip lined, with a number of small patches on the reverse, generally found behind lines of restoration in the painting: four small horizontal lines, upper left, the longest of which is 5 cm. long; a J-shaped retouching upper right, the longest part of which measures approx. 8 cm.; and a diagonal line in the top of the bunch of grapes of the still life, 7 cm. long. These are visible in raking light but do not disturb the readability of the painting. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals very little other restoration, save for very few spot retouchings in the apricot, lower left and in the lower left corner, as well as the old rather uneven varnish. In overall good condition.
