Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. No damages are visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some retouchings, most notably in the sails of the ship on the left and in the clouds left of that, scattered in the clouds centre and centre right, and along the left and right edges, but otherwise the work is in very good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in very good condition.
