Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is somewhat undulated on its stretcher. Some isolated lines of craquelure are visible, along with some spots of frame rubbing along the upper edge. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals a thick and even layer of residual varnish which has yellowed in time in some areas. Some minor spots of retouching are visible in the mountains in the lower left quadrant. This work would benefit from re-tensioning and surface cleaning. Presented in a gilt frame.
