- 18.5cm., 7 1/4 in. high
the body chased with intermittent masks among foliate strap-work, the cover and foot chased with swirling flutes, scrolling scalework handle, 19.6cm., 7 3/4 in. high; with a German parcel-gilt beaker and cover, Philipp Jakob Drentwett, Augsburg, 1681-85, the body chased with profiles of three caesars among fruits and foliage, on three ball feet
Condition
Tankard - fully marked to underside of body and cover. Both parts also with later double-struck control marks. All parts assay-scraped. Slightly uneven foot. Nice gilding. Good overall condiiton commensurate with age. Beaker - Good clear marks and assayscrape to underside. Light surface wear to high points of decoration. Gilding a little worn but nice colour. No obvious repairs. Nice condition overall.
