Condition
drawing glued on very thin sheet, which is glued on the card board; paper slightly yellowed; the drawing seems to have bee, made on a very thin lavish that is not uniformed, which explains that some areas seem slightly brighter; some tiny lacunae; little stain in the lower left ; the stamp in the lower right corner is slightly faded ; good condition

This drawing may have been executed in 1825 when Delacroix was in London. Knight Aymar de Valence may be the figure on this tomb kept in Westminster Abbey. A watercolor with the same subject is known.
