Watercolor, gouache, pencil and pen and ink on card. The front mat is hinged to the card along the top edge. The mat is irregularly shaped. There are two holes punched through the card approximately ½ of an inch away from the left edge (not visible in current framing and matting). Overall the surface presents well and the colors remain vibrant. There is minor surface dirt and dust and faint mat stains at the extreme edges. Some faint toning verso. Sold in a gold frame with a simple classical motif. These three objets de vertu were probably designed by Pierre Vever, who joined the family firm of Maison Vever in 1921 after the death of his father Paul in 1915. The objects depicted date to circa 1920-25.
