Designed as cats, set with three coral cabochons, the eyes highlighted by single-cut rubies, all pieces signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 56841, 56842 and 56843, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1945. 

In good condition, with surface scratches and minor discoloration to the mountings commensurate with age and light wear. Each with French assay marks for gold. The three coral cabochons measuring approximately: 15.3 x 13.4 x 6.0 mm; 15.4 x 13.2 x 5.9 mm; 13.4 x 12.0 x 6.6 mm. The coral is medium-deep reddish orange, with some faint mottling. The ruby eyes are a medium deep slightly purplish red. Approximate dimensions of the three brooches: 1 x ¾ inch; ⅞ x ⅝ inch; ¾ x ⅝ inch.
