Designed as a segmented snake, applied with black enamel spots set with oval-shaped rubies, the head embellished with pear-shaped and cushion-cut rubies framed by rose-cut diamonds, gross weight approximately 56 dwts, internal circumference 6 inches, expandable, with French import mark.

In good condition with light scratching, denting and nicking consistent with age and regular wear. French import mark for gold located on the jaw. Enamel largely intact with small area of loss on 9th segment from tail (on the underside of bracelet and not readily apparent). The medium pinkish red cushion and pear-shaped rubies on the serpent's head measure approximately 7.8 x 7.0 mm and 6.8 x 5.5 mm, respectively; lightly to moderately included. Set throughout with small, medium-deep purplish red, cushion-shaped rubies of decorative quality. The rose-cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.5 mm, are near-colorless and approximately SI-I clarity. All gemstones in closed backs.
