Condition

Originating with the historic Old Loge commission of 1935, these tables are in overall in very good, age-appropriate condition. The leather to both tables is original; its surfaces with scattered scuffs, scratches, abrasions, and areas of rubbing, all consistent with age and gentle use, the rubbing most prominent to the edges of the tables. There are natural knots, irregularities and separations in the wood grain, typical for Inland fir, and this has been reinforced with wood infill in areas by Molesworth at the time of production. The wooden elements of both tables with scattered scuffs, scratches, dents, and abrasions, consistent with age and use. The tabletop with slanted edges presents with a series of small spotty stains and 3-4 light water rings on the leather top. The tabletop also with a more prominent scratch to one corner of the top, measuring approximately 1 ½ in. in length, as well as a more prominent abrasion measuring approximately ¼ x ½ in. Each leg with a very minor loss to the wood infill which radiates from the bottom up (approx ½ in.) placed by Molesworth in the wood grain at the time of production). This is not visible when the table is standing upright. The other table with a concentrated area of abrasions to one corner of the top measuring approximately ½ x 2 in. One of the supporting columns with scattered paint residue, and another column with minor scattered losses to the wood infill. The bottom tier with a small area of paint residue to one edge.
