Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces with very minor surface scratches and a few minor indentations mostly concentrated to feet, only visible upon close inspection. The seams with some minor hairline separation of the wood, consistent with age. The feet with some evidence of prior sensitive restoration to a few hairline cracks. The proper right of the backrest with a small crack to the upper scroll motif, stable and not visually distracting. The daybed was reupholstered with a luxe, warm grey velvet upholstery, which presents with some scattered minor surface staining and light wear. The sabots with light wear, surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. The Macassar ebony on the wood surface is particularly finely figured on this ultra refined and sophisticated daybed.
