Designed as a series of collet-set oval sapphires, connected by pear- and quatrefoil-shaped links set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the front section suspending two additional rows similarly set, length approximately 390mm, Spanish assay marks and maker's mark.
Condition
Accompanied by GCS report no. 79210-08, stating that the sapphires are natural, origin opinion Sri Lanka (Ceylon), with no indications of heating. With a total approximate sapphire weight of 59.5 carats. Tongue stamped with Spanish assay mark for 18 carat gold and maker's mark MLC. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 7.00-9.00 carats. The cushion-shaped sapphire on the lowest row measures approximately 12.0 x 11.0 x 7.9mm, calculated to weigh 7.50 carats. The oval sapphire near the tongue measures approximately 8.2 x 7.1 x 5.4mm, calculated to weigh 2.44 carats. All light blue, generally in good condition, some sapphires with wear to facet edges. Gross weight approximately 113 grams. Overall condition good. Accompanied by a pouch.
