One pair featuring rectangular rock crystal cabochons, accented with gold ropetwist, signed Seaman Schepps, numbered 7473, with maker's mark; and another pair composed of shells studded with emerald and lapis lazuli cabochons, signed Trianon, numbered 14101.
Condition
Each pair in good condition, the mountings with light scratches commensurate with light wear, not noticeable when worn. The Seaman Schepps earclips stamped 750 for 18 karat gold; the Trianon earclips stamped 14k. The rock crystal in good condition, eye clean to slightly included, with a few nicks noticeable under 10x magnification. The shell is of creamy white body color, with moderate to strong iridescence, with a couple small areas with evidence of adhesive, not noticeable when worn, otherwise in good condition. The lapis lazuli is medium deep blue, a few with slight mottling, and a few with flecks of pyrite; in good condition. The emeralds are medium green, moderately to heavily included, as is typical of cabochons. Gross weight of the Seaman Schepps earclips approximately 21 dwts; gross weight of the Trianon earclips approximately 13 dwts. Dimensions of the Seaman Schepps earclips approximately 1 x ¾ inch; dimensions of the Trianon earclips approximately 1¼ x ⅝ inch.
