Of floral design, the clip-brooch petals of lattice design accented by old European and single-cut diamonds, the center set en tremblant with cabochon star sapphires and old European-cut diamonds, signed Seaman Schepps, circa 1945; together with a pair of earclips of similar design, unsigned.

Condition

BROOCH: In good overall condition; rhodium-plating has rubbed away in a few places; mounted in white gold which is worn in some areas, predominantly on the stem, revealing some yellow gold. Pin stems with some areas of discoloration. Seaman Schepps signature located on the stem. The star sapphires, measuring approximately 11.0 x 9.4 x 6.2 mm to 9.9 x 8.3 x 5.5 mm, are medium light blue, translucent, with weak to moderately strong asterism. The diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.70 carats, are approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity, with some I clarity examples. Overall length approximately 3¾ inches. EARCLIPS: In fair condition. Mounting stamped Sterling for sterling silver. The mountings with significant tarnish predominantly to the reverse sides and clip fittings. The star sapphires measuring approximately 9.2 x 8.3 x 5.2 mm and 8.8 x 9.0 x 4.7 mm, are medium light blue, translucent, with moderately strong asterism, one with notable surface reaching inclusions visible under magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.60 carats are approximately H-I color, predominantly VS-SI clarity. Earclips measure approximately ¾ x ¾ inch each.
