The canvas is lined. UV examination reveals some intermittent retouchings to all four extreme edges, most consistently to the upper and lower edges. There are some further fine flecks of sensitively applied retouching in other places, mainly to the sky area. There are a few extremely fine lines of craquelure in places, only visible in a raking light. This work is in overall good condition.
