The canvas is lined. It presents an elaborate landscape scene with the paint surface well preserved. The colors remain vivid, as seen on the rainbow, and the impasto has been kept in areas like on the sea foam on the shore. Inspection under UV reveals three possible small spots of old repairs: one by the figure wearing the red cape's foot, the second a little further right, on the darker area of the ground, and the third and smallest spot on the leaves of the tree, at center. A few minor, thin lines of retouching are scattered on the trees and leaves in the foreground. The background sky has very little retouching to address possible old craquelure scattered. Painting can be hung as is. Offered in a giltwood frame with decorations on the liners.
